Karen Chace – “Enhance Your Online Presence: Blog It Baby!”

Even though cyber space is all “a twitter” there are benefits to maintaining your own blog. Blogging is another way to publicize your skills and promote your venues. This is a hands-on workshop. Bring your laptop and leave with the beginnings of your own unique business or educational blog.

Bill Ratner- “ Voiceovers for Storytellers – Find Your Best Storyteller Voice

 1:15 PM- 2:45 PM          Workshop Session A

We discuss methods of seeking employment in voiceovers, producing your own voiceover demos, setting up a home recording studio, and recording a story CD. We practice a vocal warm-up, read voiceover and story text aloud, and address new ways of using your voice in storytelling.

Robert Smyth- “Sound System Basic’s – XRL or 1/4 inch what’s the difference?”

1:15 PM- 2:45 PM          Workshop Session A

Being a good performer requires knowing how to work with microphones and a sound system. We will cover the basics of sound reinforcement including microphone types, nomenclature, and how they are best used.

There will be time for each participant to work with different microphones, for voice and instruments, and learn about them.

Simon Brooks and Karen Chace – “Branding - It Doesn't Have to Hurt!”

10:45 AM – 12:15 PM   Sunday  Workshop Session C 

"Steer" the audience to you! Branding will help your image, professionalism and visibility. Build strength and trust with potential clients; define your personal and business persona. Create awareness and recognition with your client base. Bring your marketing materials for review. Laptops encouraged but not necessary. Come and get branded!
