Leeny Del Seamonds- “Master Coaching with Leeny Del Seamonds”

 1:15 PM- 2:45 PM          Workshop Session A 

Bring stories to life with one-on-one coaching for all levels. Develop believable characters with depth and distinction and use body movements/mime, gestures, and vocal variety to breathe life into stories and keep them tight. Three storytellers chosen by lottery will present up to a 10-minute story or excerpt. Listeners welcomed!

Michael Parent – “Mentoring- One Possible Approach” 

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM             Workshop Session D 

This participatory workshop, for all levels of storytellers, will include demonstration, exercises, and role playing, introducing an approach to the mentor-mentee relationship. Attendees will gain a practical method of mentoring or being mentored. Handouts will be available and participants should come ready to try things.

Jean Armstrong - Character Voices That Don’t Damage Yours! 

3:15 PM - 4:45 PM        Workshop Session B

Are your favorite character voices silencing you? Are you experiencing vocal blow out with certain stories? Learn strategies to reduce damaging vocal techniques while not sacrificing your artistic interpretation! This voice care workshop emphasizes troubleshooting for your character voices. The participants will explore vocal flexibility that preserves the storteller’s voice in guided exercises led by voice therapist and storyteller, Jean Armstrong. Bring your vocally demanding stories and characters for coaching and small group work.

Jackson Gillman - “High-Performance Coaching”

10:45 AM – 12:15 PM   Sunday  Workshop Session C 

Have a story you know is roadworthy, but still sputters in places? Bring it into Jackson’s Bard & Body Shop! Specializing in: hammering out dents, parts replacements, lubrication, fine tune-ups. Jackson will offer tips for better spark and traction, helping you get that number up and running like a charm.
